So, why arent you out politico-type campaigning, writing letters, making and signing petitions, and otherwise protesting SoLS? That is a Necro skill that is so necessary that it is stapled to the skill bar of every necro........?
Get crackin, bub. Wouldn't want you to be a hypocrite. I'd start with reading, carefully, the longest thread in this forum, the Soul Reaping nerf, for background material and homework on the issue in general. All 140 something pages - 2800+ posts.

Okay, let me get this whole thing straight.
You are saying that you like to play games in the most effective manner.
The most effective manner makes the game easier by definition.
The new PvE skills are powerful, and if used properly make the game easier.
In fact, most any skill used properly can make the game easier, to a greater or lesser extent.
So, if you are going to cry and moan that the game is too easy, what are the possible means to redress your (pathetically self-centered and meaningless) complaint?
1. Make the game globally more difficult, which affects everyone. (dumb)
2. Self-restrict your own game-play, to make just your experience tougher, and not drag everyone else down into your pit of silly grindy level 28s with half cast times bull^*&$. (smart)
Any questions? Always happy to help.

Just keep making HM harder if something seems imbalanced.
REITERATED: If you have a moral dilemme with using a skill that makes you too strong, DON'T USE IT. Someone else may not be as game-savvy as you and may need that extra boost. You go play HM. And if you want a real challenge: take heal sig, frenzy, and mending as your only skills.

And yes I'm serious - especially for PVE only skills - they do NOT need nerfs.

I can't agree entirely with that. Although I tend to take a mix of damage types, some of the best times I've had were to group together people of the same class (Rangers specifically since it feels more epic to me), although I do agree that a bunch of Eles would be mighty powerful - god mode lite.
As for the All-Rangers, it looks AWESOME in NF when you attack the city. All those barragers' arrows filling the sky - lol, kinda like 300 or Hero with Jet Li. But then again, I'm a casual gamer. I do take Cynn, but had no idea many of the beasties were fire-proof. Oh well, didn't make much difference. I killed em anyway.

Too bad the word "nerf" has been forever associated with "PvP whiners." Reading comprehension is not common on message boards. Word association is much easier.

LOL...The most likely reason why there were some groups in EoTN with 3 or 4 SF Ele was probably because they wanted to explore or finish an mission, dungeon, or quest quickly. Save for the Destroyers (who are near immune to fire attacks), killing things like the Ice Imps and Frozen Elementals was very easy. It's like those people who spent the 3 days grinding points for armor.

I will say this about people wanting skill nerfs...
anet put that the skills would be pve-only because they PLANNED on them being a bit stronger than normal skills.... so bugger off! Thus why you can't use them in pvp o_o
we havent seen enough yet that would merit a nerf I think... MAYBE getting rid of trample... its like EVERY monster has it!

i agree with ur post buuuuuuuuutttt
<sarcasm>
that is precisely why they designed above average skills like ear bite....
</sarcasm>
some of these skills look like they couldve been used for normal play for all i care, not all but some.
in any case some of these skills need some serious buffing for me to consider them PvE only worthy
cheers.

Exactly! Signet of Lost Souls is not stapled to my ranger's bar. Nor to my ele's, nor my monk's. SoLS can be used by exactly one profession that, importantly, has few other usable energy management skills. Therefore, it is not overpowered.
I know it is a difficult concept, but please try to understand that, by all appearances, (nearly) any skill bar on any profession without "Finish Him!" is sub-par.

QFT.
Come on, people asking for nerfing PvE-only skills ? It must be a joke. A really bad one.
Also, grinding-based titles should be easier to obtain, not more difficult. Think about this game being also for casual players, not only for game-addicted kids/adults who have no life and just like grinding all day and then boast with their grinding titles.. Get a life.

Oh wait, you mean from EoTN
Uum, Energy Blast gives pretty much every ele the ability to contribute to a spike with HUGE armor ignoring damage. The breakpoint is 8 ES and with focus swapping it's pretty easy to dish out impressive damage.
I'm still in doubt about Disarm and Sum of All Fears. SoAF looks pretty mean when you cast it on a melee.

I'm trying to figure out why people are complaining about 3 Searing Flames Heroes or that GW:EN is too easy. ArenaNet has developed a game in which players can make it as easy or as hard as they want it or need it to be. If other players (in their own private instances) have 3 Searing Flames Heroes, it has absolutely nothing to do with my PvE play.

This is another hilarous thread. It is pointless to complain until we explore whole GWEN content... until then if game is too easy for someone i suggest some HM or better DOA-HM.

There are only two explanations for your behavior.
The first one is more altruistic but misguided. You are on some misguided crusade to encourage skill diversity. Funny enough, you are months late - this debate was settled months ago by ANet announcing in every games publication in existence that they were going to put out PvE only skills that did not need balancing for PvP in EotN. They could and would be more powerful than regular skills. I saw no posts from you then, about the sky falling. You had your chance, and now it is past and done. kthxbye.
The other explanation is that GW is your own personal achievement engine, where you have abandoned real life pursuits to work an insane amount of time in a virtual world, for intangible rewards that will all go up in a poof of smoke when they turn the servers off in a few years. In that case, you are trying to fight a trend to make the game easier for people who have several characters and want to play the game through with all of them, all so you can feel special for your (virtual) snazzy armors and (virtual) rare skinned weapons. I'm telling ya, get to the park every once in a while. Its neato keen out there. Besides, those virtual things you are trying to hoard to yourself and not share, well they arent real. They're just pixels bro. We can share them all, 2 in every pot, and they'll still be there for everyone. Are you this type? Then stop it. Your exclusivity is not doing any good for anything. Making the game easier for everyone is not a bad thing, and that is why
they made hard mode
Emphasis is mine.
Thanks!

I am truly amazed at the amount of sheer antagonism you are displaying. You have made inferences about my motives from my few comments here that truly breaks new ground in our understanding of logic.
But I have been on the internet long enough to recognize the beast. Enjoy your bridge.

I like the PvE skills. Maybe some could be tweaked, but serious nerfing is not required.
